Self-Sufficiency: Participants are responsible for their own gear, including sleeping bags, food, water, tools, and spare parts. Expect primitive camping conditions most nights.
Expenses: All personal expenses, such as food, lodging, fuel, repairs, and fees, are the participant's responsibility.
Conduct: Alcohol consumption is prohibited on trails or while driving. Passengers may not drink on trails. Violators will receive one verbal warning; a second offense results in removal from the event. Illegal drug use is grounds for immediate removal.
Vehicle and Driver Requirements:
Roadworthiness: Vehicles must be capable of maintaining highway speeds up to 60 mph and have a fuel range of at least 100 miles.
Legal Compliance: Vehicles must be street-licensed and insured. Drivers must possess a valid driver's license, current registration, and proof of insurance.
Equipment:
Front and rear axle lockers or spools (limited slips are insufficient).
Front-mounted recovery winch rated at 1.5 times the vehicle's weight, along with a winch controller.
Winch accessory kit, including a tree saver, snatch block, clevis, chain, and gloves.
Securely mounted roll cage.
First-aid kit meeting Red Cross standards.
Seatbelts or harnesses for all occupants, to be worn at all times when the vehicle is in motion.
Adequate recovery points (tow hooks or shackle/clevis attachments) at both front and rear
Secure battery hold-down.
